Mealime is closing on October 21, 2026
If your family planned dinners in Mealime, it needs a new home this month. Here is what happens, what to save before the shutdown, and how to start again without settling into a grocery store app.
What is happening
Mealime stops working on October 21, 2026. Its maker is pointing users to Meals Hub, a planner that lives inside the Albertsons grocery store app. Mealime also deletes its users' data, so nothing you saved there will carry over, not your recipes and not your rotation. If that app lives on your phone, plan for October 21 as its last day.
What to save before the 21st
Data is deleted at shutdown, so decide what is worth keeping while the app still opens. Most families need far less than they think, and three things cover it.
- The rotation. Write down the six or eight dinners your family actually eats on a repeat week. That list is worth more than any recipe archive.
- The shopping rhythm. Note your shopping day, your usual store, and roughly what a week of groceries costs you now.
- Any recipe you cook monthly and would miss. Screenshot the ingredients, since you cannot export them after the 21st.
The choice: a store app or a fresh start
Meals Hub is free and works if you already shop at Albertsons. It also means starting over inside a grocery chain's app, and its plan has no relationship to what you decided to spend until the receipt arrives. We think a family that lost its planner deserves a different starting point: the budget you type, the people you feed, and a week of dinners chosen to fit both.
The honest trade-offs, stated plainly. We do not import Mealime recipes, so you start from your rotation and your budget, not from a library. We plan dinners only at launch, not breakfasts or lunches. And our grocery prices are honest estimates from typical US stores, labeled as estimates, not your store's exact register price. You can correct any price you actually paid, and the next week gets closer to your real store.
How a week starts here
You type two things: your grocery budget for the week and how many people you feed. Busyfamilymeals decides the seven dinners, chosen so ingredients overlap and kids will eat them, and hands you one grocery list with an estimated total that lands at or under your number. The first weekly plan is free, with no signup and no card. If a dinner does not suit, you swap it and the list re-balances on the spot.
You can see a real sample week on our home page. The planner that builds your own week is being built now, and this page will say so the day it is ready. Nothing here needs an import: tell us your budget and we start fresh.
Busyfamilymeals is built and run end to end by AI agents on NanoCorp, which is how a small family tool like this can stay current. Save your rotation before October 21, and dinner stays one decision instead of a nightly scramble.
